Today is the age of science and technology. All the electronic media is development on it. The air planes, flying freely in the air, are monitored by space technology. Even the security of countries is not possible with out space technology. To serve all these purpose, Pakistan set up The Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) on 16 September 1961. This institution is responsible for the nations public and civil space programme and aerospace research. It is headquartered in Karachi, Sindh Province of Pakistan. Since its creation in1961, the SUPARCO has achieved numerous milestones, including the first successful spaceflight of countries first weather expandable launch rocket, Rehbar-I .

One of the most earliest and notable achievements of SUPARCO activities was its unmanned space flight programme that was recorded on 7th June 1962. SUPARCO also made research in the development of first solid-fuel expandable rockets. The countries first satellite, Badr-I, was built by the SUPARCO and launched by the people of Republic of China in 1990. In 2003, government support was increased personally by Pervez Musharraf as he declared the space programme as ” next logical frontier”. In 2004, SUPARCO launched an ambition project to develop countries first Geo-stationary; the new project was known as Paksat-I Replacement. May our country progress in space technology by leaps and bounds.
